The tack room tavern in indio is part of the empire polo club and is currently MANAGED AND operated by Coachella Valley Restaurant and hospitality group F10. Foundation 10 owns and operates cheeky's, birba (PSP, CBZ + soon IN INDIO) mr. Lyons steak house, seymour's, F10 CATERING, Hotel Alcazar, Palm Springs.

Established in 1987, the tack room tavern was opened to serve the equestrian and local community, offering classic american cuisine in a polo-themed setting.
The restaurant is located on the empire polo club grounds, which were also established in 1987 by
alexander haagen iii, a prominent real estate developer. His son, alexander haagen IV, has also been A key figure in the operation and growth of the grounds, including its restaurants. Since 1993, the empire polo club grounds have been leased annually to goldenvoice (A subsidiary of AEG) for major music festivals like coachella and stagecoach.
